Raising the question, Vasanta Mulasavalgi said, ‘There is a picture of Buddha above the Shivling in Uttarakhand. Buddhist followers have filed a petition in this matter. It has been said that the temples were converted into mosques. Before the construction of the temple, Emperor Ashoka had built 84 thousand Buddhist monasteries. Where did they all go?
