It has been told in the report that 1600 such searches have been found on the dark web, which were related to the data of AIIMS patients. It is being told that the stolen data includes medical data of politicians, celebrities and VVIP people. The report quoted sources as saying that there were a total of five servers in AIIMS, which were hacked.

Hacking claims only to extort money

IFSO sources told that hackers from Hong Kong have carried out the hacking. Although its investigation is still going on. Meanwhile, it is also being told that hackers may have carried out this hacking mainly for extortion of money. Sources said that suggestions have been sought from the investigating agencies. Apart from this, a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) is also being appointed in AIIMS to resume e-hospital services and prevent such attacks in future.

Internet service closed in hospital, work on paper

Apart from the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, various agencies including Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In), Delhi Cyber ​​Crime Special Cell are probing the ransomware attack. Access to the computer is disrupted due to a ransomware attack. As per the recommendations of the investigating agencies, internet services have been suspended in the hospital. Officials said that all hospital services including out-patient, in-patient and laboratory are being managed paper-wise. Earlier on Tuesday, officials informed that the e-hospital data has been restored on the server. According to the report, the work of data restoration and server repair is going on.
