In its fourth match of the World Cup 2023, host India has defeated Bangladesh by 7 wickets in a one-sided match on the ground of Pune. In this match, while achieving the target of 257 runs, run machine Virat Kohli played an unbeaten inning of 103 runs and was chosen Man of the Match for this innings. But King Kohli said sorry to Ravindra Jadeja while receiving the Match of the Match award.
Why did Virat Kohli say sorry to Jadeja?
Many people might be wondering why did Kohli say sorry? Actually, Kohli won the Man of the Award by scoring unbeaten 103 runs, however Jadeja bowled very amazingly in this match. In the match, he showed the way to the pavilion by giving only 38 runs in the spell of 10 overs, hence he deserved the man of the match.
In the post match presentation, Kohli said, ‘Sorry to steal this (Player of the Match) from Jadeja, I wanted to make some big contribution in the match. I had a few half-centuries to my name in the World Cup, but I could not convert them into big scores.

Kohli further said, ‘I just wanted to finish the match by standing till the end, I have been doing this for Team India for many years. In the first 4 balls, 2 free hits, on which I hit a six and a four. This kind of start takes you ahead in a calm innings.
