IND vs AUS: The selection committee headed by Ajit Agarkar has announced the team for the 3-match ODI series to be played against Australia from September 22 before the ICC ODI World Cup 2023. Many players including Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma were rested for the first two matches of the series and wicketkeeper batsman KL Rahul has been made the captain of the team.

All-rounder Axar Patel was injured during the Asia Cup, hence the selection committee has selected Ravi Ashwin in the team as a replacement for Axar before the World Cup. Apart from this, Washington Sundar has also got a place in the team.

The selection committee has also included Rituraj Gaikwad and Tilak Verma along with Prasidh Krishna in the team for the first two ODIs. The most surprising thing during the team selection was that the selection committee did not select Sanju Samson in the team.

Kohli-Rohit return for the third ODI

The selection committee has given place to all the main players including Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya in the team for the last match before the World Cup. In fact, with this match, Team India will also blow the trumpet of World Cup 2023.
