Adipurush Nepal Controversy: Battle on Adipurush in Nepal, Court lifted ban, Mayor said – I will not let him be released, no matter what the punishment

Adipurush Nepal Controversy: Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan and Kriti Sanon starrer film first man There is an uproar everywhere. There was a lot of uproar in India about the film and the makers had to change its dialogues. At the same time, there has been a ruckus in Nepal over the film Adipurush.

Objecting to the dialogue describing Sita as the daughter of India, Kathmandu’s mayor Balendra Shah had banned the release of all Hindi films including Adipurush. The mayor had demanded that the dialogue be removed. Later, the makers also gave clarification in the matter.

Meanwhile, a court in Nepal has banned the ban imposed on all Hindi films including Adipurush. The court asked the authorities not to ban the release of films which pass the censor board in the country. Judge Dhir Bahadur Chand of the single bench of Patan High Court said in his short term order that those who have been approved for release should not be stopped.

‘Ready for any punishment’

Mayor Balendra Shah has opposed this decision of the court. He has said that I am ready for any punishment but will not allow the screening of the film because this matter is related to the sovereignty and independence of Nepal.

President of Nepal Motion Picture Association Bhaskar Dhungana said that the petitioners are currently waiting for the written order of the court. He said that we will now show all the films passed by the censor board.

Adipurush outdoes at the box office

Adipurush, directed by Om Raut, which did a business of 340 crores in the first three days, died in the first week itself. The film earned around 410 crores worldwide in a week. The effect of the controversy was clearly visible on the film and from the third day the film’s earnings kept falling.
