Domination of Purvanchali voters in these areas
Purvanchali migrants are present in almost all areas of Delhi. But there are some areas where a large number of Purvanchali voters live. In this area, there are areas like New Ashok Nagar, Laxmi Nagar, Karawal Nagar, Nangloi, Kirari, Bawana, Sangam Vihar, Burari, Kirari, Vikaspuri, Uttam Nagar where people from Bihar, Jharkhand and Eastern UP are settled. who speak Bhojpuri language. Let’s eat litti chokha. Every year Chhath Puja is celebrated with great enthusiasm in these areas. The festival of Chhath is celebrated in large numbers. In which Chhath devotees often complain about the lack of proper arrangements for Chhath Ghats.

Parties included Chhath Ghats in their manifestos
The BJP, which has been in power in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi for the last 15 years, has promised to build 1000 permanent Chhath Ghats for the devotees celebrating the festival of Chhath in their manifesto for this corporation election. The BJP says that if the BJP comes back victorious in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi, then Chhath Ghats will be built in the parks of the corporation.

With this, Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee President Chaudhary Anil Kumar says that if the Congress comes to power, it will revive the Chhath Ghats on the banks of the Yamuna, renovate them, which have been closed now.

But in the meantime, the Congress party has also suffered a major setback in this election, because after Sheila Dixit, Mahabal Mishra, a prominent Purvanchali face in the Congress, left the party and joined the Aam Aadmi Party.

How much loss due to Mahabal Mishra’s departure?
Sheila Dixit who was originally Punjabi but her in-laws was in Unnao. That’s why she considered herself Purvanchali. But in the same month, Mahabal Mishra left the Congress and joined the Aam Aadmi Party, although his son Vinay Kumar Mishra was already in the Aam Aadmi Party.

Mahabal Mishra leaving the Congress and joining the Aam Aadmi Party can harm the Congress. However, the Congress says that at present they have many big Purvanchali leaders like Kirti Azad.

In the year 2013, the Aam Aadmi Party emerged in the politics of Delhi. Then in the year 2012, during the Anna movement, the party got the support of Purvanchali people. A large section of Purvanchali voters, who were with the Congress, joined the Aam Aadmi Party during that time.

After which the Aam Aadmi Party has also fielded Purvanchali candidates from Delhi’s assembly elections to this time’s corporation elections.

Aam Aadmi Party has placed bets on 58 Purvanchali candidates
AAP’s MCD in-charge Durgesh Pathak says that the party has given tickets to 58 Purvanchali candidates. He says that the Aam Aadmi Party government in Delhi is the first government which builds 1200 Chhath Ghats during Chhath Puja, so that devotees can worship properly, they do not face any problem.

MLA Dilip Pandey, Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh and Minister Gopal Rai are three big faces in Aam Aadmi Party, who come from Purvanchal and all three leaders have a good hold in Purvanchal. Along with this, most of the people of Purvanchal in Delhi live in slums and raw colonies where there are major problems of electricity, water, paved roads, cleanliness, health, schools etc. For which the Aam Aadmi Party has claimed to work in these areas to woo these people.

Purvanchali is the most in raw colonies
Purvanchali people living in raw colonies say that earlier the electricity bill used to be very high, but for the last few years the electricity and water bills are not coming. At the same time, Mohalla clinics opened in different areas also show the inclination of Purvanchali people towards Aam Aadmi Party.

According to a senior journalist, Purvanchali voter of Delhi is very intelligent, he does not vote on the basis of caste but on the basis of work. There is not much vote in Delhi on the basis of casteism, this is the reason why BJP did not have much influence on the power of Delhi.

Although there is BJP in the corporation for the last 15 years, against which anti-incumbency can also be seen in the Delhi Municipal Corporation elections this time. Despite this, it is giving tough competition to BJP and Aam Aadmi Party. In this election, a direct contest is being seen between the two parties.
