Also asked to appear for questioning on December 6.
The central agency has issued a notice to Kavita under section 160 of the CrPC and has asked her to inform about a suitable place for questioning as per her convenience at 11 am on December 6. Responding to the notice, Kavita said in a statement that she has informed the authorities that they can meet her at her Hyderabad residence.
Ready to face any investigation: Kavita
In the notice sent to Kavita, the CBI has said that some facts have come to the fore during the investigation, which Kavita may be aware of. Therefore, it is necessary to inquire about such facts in the interest of investigation. Significantly, after Kavita’s name appeared in the remand report filed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in a Delhi court for allegedly taking bribe in the scam, she had said that she was ready to face any investigation.
Explain that the CBI had registered a case in Delhi’s liquor scam in August and issued a Lookout Circular (LOC) against eight people. The ED is also probing Kavita regarding this matter. However, Kavita says that the central investigative agencies are being used by the BJP for political vendetta.
