Chandigarh, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann today said that he will attend the meeting of NITI Aayog. This meeting will last for 2 days. In which the heads of many states will come. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann told that, in the said meeting, he will take up all the issues related to Punjab’s water, farmers’ debt and MSP. He also targeted the former Chief Ministers of Punjab. Mann said that it is unfortunate that the former Punjab Chief Minister did not attend such a meeting.
Earlier, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann announced ex-gratia to the families of farmers who lost their lives during the farmers’ protests in Delhi. He provided financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh to the families of the martyr farmers. Regarding this compensation, CM Mann held a meeting with the farmer unions on 3 August. And, within just 3 days, his government fulfilled its promise. Today he himself said about this, ‘We have given ex-gratia amount to the families of farmers who lost their lives during the farmers’ protests in Delhi.

The Chief Minister said that due to technical reasons, there are 2-3 farmers left, which will be resolved soon. Punjab CM Bhagwant said that we have also given him about 200 jobs.
Significantly, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had accepted most of their demands in a meeting with the farmers on August 3, after which the farmers leaders postponed their proposed dharna demonstration program. Today is a day of great relief for the farmer families.
