Navy Chief Admiral R Hari Kumar said that the Navy continues to monitor the movement of Chinese ships in the Indian Ocean region.
Addressing the annual press conference held a day before Navy Day, Navy Chief Admiral R Hari Kumar on Saturday said that Indian Navy has told the government that it will become Atmanirbhar by 2047., India is celebrating Navy Day on 4 December. The Navy chief said that the government has laid special emphasis on the self-reliance of the army.
Navy Chief Admiral R Hari Kumar said that The Navy continues to monitor the movement of Chinese ships in the Indian Ocean Region, And we have a close eye on China’s military and reconnaissance ships. Kumar said that the Indian Navy has achieved very high operational capability in the last one year and the importance of maritime security is being given more emphasis. The Navy Chief said, the government has given us clear guidelines on self-reliant India. We have told that the Indian Navy will become self-sufficient by 2047. Kumar said that our aim is to become the security solution of the world.
first time female sailors getting involved
Admiral R Hari Kumar also said that in terms of operational capability, we have had a very busy time in the last one year. He said that the induction of INS Vikrant into the Navy is a historic thing for India. He said that the aim of the Navy is to get Made in India security solutions for the country. Kumar said that about 3,000 Agniveer of which have reached 341 are women. Navy chief said that for the first time we female sailors are inducted into the Navy.
Navy Day outside Delhi for the first time
The Navy will showcase India’s combat capability at the Navy Day celebrations at Ramakrishna Beach here on Sunday. For the first time, the main event of Navy Day is being organized outside New Delhi which will be attended by President Draupadi Murmu as the chief guest. Navy Day is celebrated every year on December 4 in the country to commemorate the achievements of the Navy in Operation Trident during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. Navy Chief Admiral R Hari Kumar will host the event which will be attended by the President, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and other dignitaries.
