New Delhi, 15 January. The central government has given a big decision regarding the Republic Day celebrations. Republic Day celebrations will now start every year from January 23 instead of January 24, the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. Republic Day celebrations will now include the birth anniversary of freedom fighter Subhas Chandra Bose.

Netaji

Subhash Chandra Bose, popularly known as Netaji, was born on 23 January 1897. According to sources, the focus of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi government has been focused on celebrating and remembering important aspects of our history and culture and this decision has also been taken under that.

Significantly, the Modi government had earlier started celebrating the birth anniversary of Subhas Chandra Bose as Parakram Divas. 14 August is being celebrated as Partition Horror Remembrance Day, 31 October as Sardar Patel’s birth anniversary, National Unity Day, 15 November as Birsa Munda’s birth anniversary as Tribal Pride Day. 26 is being celebrated as Constitution Day and 26 December as Veer Bal Diwas (homage to four sons of Guru Gobind Singh).

The Center has drawn up a plan to promote sites across the country associated with Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. As reported by news agency PTI in October 2021, the tourism ministry was planning a curated tour as part of events to celebrate the anniversary of the formation of the Azad Hind government, the provisional government announced by Bose on October 21, 1943. . According to an official such sites have been identified and will include multiple routes. He had told that we have prepared curated itineraries which cover the places associated with Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. Itinerary will be given to tour operators to promote Netaji related sites.
