According to the Times of India report, Tesla is going to set up a factory in India with a production capacity of 5 lakh per annum. This is a huge factory for any company, especially an electric car company. In such a situation, the company is going to land with full preparation.
At the same time, Tesla’s cars are also known for their high price and in such a situation, according to the customers of India, a low-cost car can be brought. According to the report, Tesla can bring an electric car in India with an initial price of Rs 20 lakh.
Tesla is constantly engaged in expanding around the world. The company has a huge factory in India’s neighboring country China and in such a situation Tesla is going to set up a factory in India as well and use it as an export base for the Indo-Pacific region.
Tesla is in talks with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of the Government of India and it is believed that a good deal can be done soon. The reason all this is happening so soon is that the Prime Minister had a meeting with Elon Musk shortly before.
Musk said that Tesla may soon announce its entry into India. Along with this, he has praised the country’s potential in the sustainable energy future, especially in the electric vehicle sector. PM Modi has pushed Tesla to make big investments in India.
When asked by reporters, Elon Musk said, “I am sure Tesla will be in India and as soon as possible.” Along with this, he has also indicated that he is going to visit India next year.
Tesla officials came to India a few months ago and met Indian officials and ministers to set up a base for cars and batteries in India. Musk had said that Tesla would finalize the location for the new factory by the end of this year.
Some time back, Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar had said, “He is looking towards India as a production and innovation hub. We have signaled that the Government of India will work together and make them successful in whatever their ambitions and investments are.” May it happen.”
