Tata Nexon EV, the first electric SUV from the company, became a hit as soon as it hit the market. It has received a lot of love from customers across the country. Now Tata Nexon EV has created a new record of electric car sales in India.
Tata Nexon EV has crossed the sales mark of 50,000 units. This electric car was introduced in 2020 and now it has crossed the new sales figure and with this it has become the first electric car in the country to do so.

Tata has sold this electric SUV in more than 500 cities in the country, and has traveled 900 million kilometers so far. The company claims that customers use the Nexon EV even for long trips.
It is reported that the customers of Nexon EV are driving this SUV at 63 lakh kms per month. This includes both city and outstation trips. Due to the increasing charging infra in India, long trips and good mileage are being available.

Tata Motors has installed 6000 charging stations across its dealerships across the country. Between FY 21 to FY 23, a 1500% increase in charging infrastructure has been registered in the country, which is continuously increasing.
Tata Motors has informed that the electric variant accounts for 15% of the total sales of the Nexon SUV. The company recently launched the top-spec Max XZ+ Lux variant of the Nexon EV Max, priced at Rs 18.79 lakh (ex-showroom).

It has a battery with a capacity of 40.5 kWh. The standard model of Tata Nexon EV has a battery pack of 30.2 kWh. The large battery allows the Tata Nexon EV to claim a range of 453 km.
Tata Motors has fitted the Tata Nexon EV with a 143 bhp electric motor that produces 250 Nm of peak torque. It can now accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 9 seconds.
Tata Motors claims that the Nexon EV Max can achieve a top speed of 140 km/h. For charging, the Tata Nexon EV Max gets a 3.3 kW AC charger as standard but can be upgraded if customers wish to.
Customers can buy a 7.2 kW charger by paying extra. This upgrade will reduce the charging time from 15-16 hours to just 5-6 hours. Due to the new update, people like this electric car a lot.
