Mahindra Scorpio Sales Cross 9 Lakh Units – Scorpio N Completes 1 Year

Mahindra Scorpio has completed one year in the Indian market and to make the occasion even more special, the company has also crossed the 9 lakh unit sales mark of the Scorpio brand at its Chakan plant.

Mahindra Scorpio has now created a distinct identity among the customers in India. Talking about Mahindra Scorpio, this SUV was introduced in 2002 and since then it has turned the fortunes of Mahindra. Recently its new generation model has been brought.

Mahindra Scorpio sales cross 9 lakh units

Mahindra has made the Scorpio available in two models, the N and the Classic. It has sold 9318 units in May 2023, which includes the sale of both the models. The Mahindra Scorpio has gone through several facelift models since its launch in 2002.

In 2014, the model received a major update in which the Mahindra Scorpio received a redesigned front and rear and heavily updated interiors. 2022 Mahindra launched the second generation Scorpio and named it Scorpio-N.

Mahindra Scorpio-N has also been a successful model of the company and it can be gauged from the fact that Mahindra Scorpio-N got 1 lakh bookings in just 30 minutes. Despite the high demand for the Mahindra Scorpio-N, the older model was also in good demand.

Mahindra has also brought the first generation model in a new avatar called Classic. Not just India, recently the Mahindra Scorpio-N has been introduced in the Australian market and the SUV has been receiving positive response there as well.

The Scorpio-N has been brought in both petrol and diesel engines. Its 2.0 turbo petrol engine produces 200 bhp power and 270 Nm torque. The 2.2-litre turbo diesel engine, on the other hand, is available in two state options.

Its lower version gives 132 bhp power and 300 newton meter torque. Whereas its higher version generates 175 bhp and 370 newton meter torque. It has the option of 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic.

The Scorpio-N is also made available in 4X4 drivetrain option along with 2X2. With the 4X4 drivetrain option, the new Scorpio-N can prove to be a great off-road SUV. The Mahindra Scorpio-N is built on a ladder frame chassis.
