American bike manufacturer Harley-Davidson has launched its new bike X440 in the Indian market. The Harley-Davidson X440 has been brought at a price of Rs 2.29 lakh. It has been brought in three variants – Denim, Vivid and Ace.
The Harley-Davidson X440 is priced at Rs 2.29 Lakh for the Denim variant, Rs 2.49 Lakh for the Vivid variant and Rs 2.69 Lakh for the S. Different equipment and features are available in all three variants, while the color option is also different.
Spoked wheels are available in Denim, while alloy wheels and dual-tone color options have been given in Vivid. The X440 S also comes with diamond cut alloy wheels, 3D decals and advanced connectivity features visible through the circular display.
The Harley-Davidson X440 is the first bike that the American company has produced in collaboration with Hero MotoCorp. The Harley-Davidson X440 is powered by a single-cylinder engine, the company’s first single-cylinder engine since the 70s.
The single-cylinder engine from Harley-Davidson features a 3-valve unit and oil cooling. This engine provides 27 bhp power at 6000 rpm and 38 newton meters of torque at 4000 rpm. It has a 6-speed manual gearbox.
The trellis frame setup has been given in the Harley-Davidson X440. The X440 gets 43mm upside-down front forks with a dual-cartridge system at the front, while the rear gets gas-filled twin shocks with preload adjustment.
The Harley-Davidson X440 gets a 320 mm disc at the front for braking, which is the largest in its class. There is also a disc brake at the rear. Dual channel ABS has been given to make braking even better.
The Harley-Davidson X440 is a roadster bike with design inspiration from the XR 1200 Sportster, which was produced between 2008 and 2013. It has circular LED headlight, teardrop shaped fuel tank, circular LED taillight.
The bike gets a circular digital instrument cluster, alloy wheels and a big exhaust. In this display, you can see turn-by-turn navigation, answer calls, check messages and control music. Day and night mode is also given in the display.
