Indigo flight diverted: IndiGo flight from Kannur to Doha was diverted at Mumbai airport on Friday (December 2). This is the third case of technical fault in a single day. Earlier, the incident of technical fault in the flight of SpiceJet and Qatar Airways was also seen on Friday. Due to a technical glitch, the Indigo flight was landed midway in Mumbai. The airline said, as a precaution, flight number 6E-1715 was diverted towards Mumbai.
The aircraft said in a statement, “The operating crew noticed a technical problem in the flight, after which the flight was diverted towards Mumbai. Alternative flights are being arranged for the onward journey of the passengers.” A senior DGCA official said, the aircraft was diverted due to a hydraulic leak.
emergency landing of spice jet flight
Earlier on Friday itself, the incident of technical fault in the flight of Spice Jet also came to light, due to which the flight had to make an emergency landing at Kochi airport. There were 197 passengers in this aircraft. This flight was going from Jeddah in Saudi Arabia to Kozhikode. Due to hydraulic failure of the flight, it was diverted to Kochi airport. However, the safe emergency landing of the aircraft was done.
Qatar Airways plane also returned from the runway
With this, a Qatar Airways flight carrying 139 passengers from Chennai to Doha had a technical fault during preparation for take-off in the early hours of Friday, after which the aircraft returned from the runway. According to the airport official, the Qatar Airways plane was preparing to take off on the runway when the problem was detected and the pilots sought permission to return. 139 passengers were deboarded from the plane and arrangements were made for their stay in city hotels.
