The wait for the Pakistani team, which has been waiting for 17 years to play Test cricket against England on their land, is definitely over, but the English team brutally oppressed their hosts on the very first day itself. One of its many hallmarks was Harry Brook’s blistering century and Saud Shakeel’s wash. (Getty Images)
Middle order batsman Brook got a chance to bat on the very first day of the Test series which started in Rawalpindi and he took advantage of it and scored a tremendous century. (Getty Images)
Brook completed his half-century in 52 balls and then hit 34 runs in the next 12 balls with the help of 8 fours. Out of this, Brook hit 6 consecutive fours in 6 balls of left-arm spinner Saud Shakeel’s own over. (Getty Images)
Brook, playing only his second Test match, scored the first century of his Test career shortly after this. Brook touched the figure of 100 in Test cricket for the first time in just 80 balls. (Getty Images)
With this, Brook became the fourth batsman of England to score a century in this innings. Before him, both the openers of the team, Jack Crawley and Ben Duckett, also scored rapid centuries, while Ollie Pope also scored the third century of his Test career. (Getty Images)
